Bad Blogger!

I have been HORRIBLE at blogging lately.  I don't even think I've touched a camera since Cal's birthday.  That's a whole month.  I've been feeling so guilty because the little moments and the cute little things they say are slipping away!  Here's a quick recap.

We went out for frozen yogurt with our good friends the Squires.  They're moving to Texas next week and we'll miss them so much!
We had a chance to go to the Discovery Gateway museum.  The kids loved it!  The best part was when we went out on the roof to see the life flight helicopter.  No one else was out there because it was a little cold, but the boys were in heaven!  Tyson recently got a remote control helicopter so the boys (especially Callan) have been slightly obsessed.  We stepped back to take a picture and one of them pushed a button that made the helicopter sound like it was taking off!  They FREAKED.  OUT.  They both started bawling and screaming.  They were so panicked trying to get out but worried they were already above ground.  It was so sad/funny and Tyson couldn't stop laughing long enough to help them!
Easton found this turtle costume and would not take it off the whole time we were there.  I was crossing my fingers he wouldn't get lice!
Callan had his 2 year check up.  He's a happy healthy boy!

He is becoming quite a troublemaker.  I've posted before about his obsession with doing his hair.  Last Sunday morning I wanted to go back to sleep for just FIVE MINUTES.  Tyson was at work and the boys were happily playing downstairs.  Next thing I know I hear Callan say, "Mom, you help me?  My hand is stuck."  His hand was literally stuck in a jar of pomade and he looked like this.
On Valentines Day I had to work but I got some chocolate covered heart peeps for the boys and they didn't seem to notice I was gone:)  Tyson got me some power tools!  He is tired of me asking other people to cut things for me so he got me some saws.  So thoughtful:)

Friday we had a Valentines Party at our house after the kids went to sleep.  We played the newlywed game and I think Tyson and I lost, but we had a really good time!

Last Saturday we went to see Cassidy as Miss Dolly Levi in The Matchmaker.  She did an awesome job as usual!
A couple months ago one of our neighbors got a new table and gave us their old one.  It was just a yellowy oak table, but it was way bigger than the one we had.  Ours was a small circle and it worked perfectly for a long time, but it also wasn't real wood and over the summer I set a crate of strawberry plants on it and the water cracked all the coating off of it!  So anyway, we got this new one and refinished it.  It took some time and we learned a few things in the process, but we love it!  Still a little afraid to eat on it.
That's all I got for now.

Wedding Week!

Wedding week finally came!  So happy for these beauties!
We had the wedding dinner Friday night at the Draper Day Barn.  It was such a fun location and Trace's family had it decorated so cute.  It was catered by Eat Simply.  They brought a homemade brick oven and served yummy pizzas to each table.  Each table had a theme of one of Trace & Kate's "firsts" with a little story about each one.  We sat at the table with "Trace & Kate's First Answered Prayer."  All the siblings had to bring a gift to put into a "survival kit" for the couple.  We felt kind of bad because all of our gifts to Trace had to do with Katelin being SO LOUD!  For instance, I brought ear plugs...
They had an AWESOME photographer and I'm so excited to get the pictures back!  Here's a couple from the bridals/groomals.  Aren't they lovely?

The wedding was Friday at noon and it was beautiful.  Tyson left to school at 6 in the morning for a test.  We weren't sure if he would make it to the temple, but he barely did!  And he passed!  Katelin was literally glowing, in part because of  the sunlight streaming in on her face throughout the whole ceremony!  The ceremony was beautiful and also unique (so fitting:)  The sealer was inspired to re-perform the sealing as he felt he had left something out.  Not many people can say they were sealed twice in one day!

After the wedding we ran to my mom's for Subway sandwiches.  As we were eating Tyson realized he was supposed to work at 5.  LUCKILY someone was able to step in for him!  Tyson took the kids home and they all napped while I went to the reception center to help set up.

The reception was awesome.  They rented the top floor of Noah's in Sandy.  We always tease Katelin because when she was in like 7th grade she always used to brag about how many friends she had:)  She is the most outgoing person I know, and I'm pretty sure everyone she's ever met was at that reception!  I was afraid they were going to throw us all out for violating a fire code!  In the main room they had the receiving line and tables set up for soups and breadsticks.  The bride room was a huge conference room with a projector and screen for the kids to stay in!  They loved watching "Brave" during most of the reception.
The other half of the floor was an ice skating rink!  In that room they had a hot chocolate bar with all kinds of mix-ins and cookies.  Everyone had a blast ice skating!

I'm so glad everything was perfect for this perfect couple!  We hope they have so much fun honeymooning in New York!

As fun as the wedding was, I'm glad it's over:)  This morning was the first morning we've been able to spend at home as a family in way too long.  Love these boys!

Callan's Two!

Cute little Callan had a birthday this week!  Can't believe my baby's growing up.  We had a family party for him on Sunday.  It was a Coke party - one of Callan's favorite things in life:)

Callan loved all of his presents!  He wanted to play with each one as he opened it.
We had cherry coke chocolate cupcakes.  Easton was a great helper blowing out the candle:)

Callan is at such a fun age right now!  He loves everything and there's no better word to describe his personality than sweet sweet sweet!

He is not much of a TV watcher, but he loves Daniel Tiger lately.  I think it's because of the songs.  I had to take a picture of him just laying on the floor watching it!  This never happens with Cal!
He loves music.  Every time we talk about going to nursery he gets so excited to sing "hum beams" and popcorn popping.  His favorite song is still "Springsteen" by Eric Church.  He sings it all the time and wants it to play all the time.  He calls it "Wo wo deen deen."  He got this Dr. Seuss movie from Santa and loves to sing, "Daisy Head Mayzie." Has anyone ever seen this?  It's so cute when he sings it!  We all get it in our heads all the time!
Callan is talking quite a bit.  Whenever he wants something he says, "I hold that in my hand right now?"  He adds "right now" onto the end of almost everything.  "I'm jumping right now."  "I'm spinning right now."  "I want to go to grama's right now."  It's not in a demanding sort of way, it's just sweet.  He's been repeating his prayers every night which is so cute.  He's been telling everyone that he is three.  He loves to do everything brother does.  Loves to do his hair.
Loves to clean.  Loves to play with his "gump truck" and really all his toys.  Loves to dip his food.  Loves his books especially, "Brown Bear," "Things That Vroom," and "Down at the Beach."

He's just the best.  We love him a lot.

We've had a busy week!  Monday night we went to Chick-Fil-A with our neighbors.  We're so grateful to live where we do.
Tuesday we had some great reminders of Heavenly Father's plan at my Uncle Frank's funeral and Katelin's endowment.
Wednesday we had fun babysitting neighbors.
Callan's actual birthday was Thursday and of course I worked all day.
Yesterday Tyson took his concealed weapons course and the boys and I got some things done around the house.
Today we went to a shower for Kate and to Crew's birthday party.  It's so fun to have Cal and Crew be so close!

This week is wedding week!  Looking forward to lots of fun this weekend!
