When dad has the day off

Tyson is all done with his first summer semester and started the second one Thursday.  With his new schedule he doesn't have school on Fridays, so he gets to watch Easton while I'm at work.  They had lots of fun together.  I got this picture sent to my phone from the Walmart toy aisle.  Easton came home with his very own xylophone.
When I got home at 8:30 the dishes were all done and dinner was cookin on Tyson's new grill he got for Father's Day.  He's the best!

The end of the world as we know it!

Easton can officially crawl everywhere! It's so weird to set him down somewhere and come back in 5 minutes and he's across the room! He doesn't go very fast yet, but he's definitely got it figured out and it won't be long before he's cruisin. This is the stage where I hope nobody thinks I abuse the kid because he tries to pull himself up on all the furniture. He can usually stand up for a second and then falls down and bangs his head on something. The good news is he doesn't really care.

Ya so taunting your baby with a plastic bag isn't the best idea, but we had to get the video! Don't worry we took it away right after!

First Father's Day

Here's Tyson and Easton on their first father's day. I think they're so cute.

Easton has 5 teeth now. (If you click on the picture you can see 4 of them). I am hoping the fifth one that just came in on top will help push the middle two closer together so he will stop looking like a hippo. At least it's a really cute hippo.

Quick Story

If you know Tyson and me, you know we always have key issues. Last night we had to go over to Tyson's parents house so he could do some homework on their computer. We got Easton loaded into the jeep. I went to get the mail while Tyson went to get his backpack from the other car. When we got back to the car I pulled on the handle, but it was locked. I kind of waited for Tyson to unlock it and he kind of waited for me to unlock it. Then we realized Easton had been playing with the keys from inside the jeep and had locked us out! We ran inside looking for our other set of keys and couldn't find it anywhere. We turned every bag, jacket, junk drawer, basket, and pair of pants upside down. I called my mom to see if we had left them at her house and she said we should probably call the police to come and unlock it. Luckily, the little squirt unlocked it for us after five or ten minutes so I did not have to call the police and feel like a terrible parent!

Playing Catch Up

I feel like I'm going to be catching up for a long time after that busy week! First was Collette's baptism! She looked very cute in her white dress and got baptized with her best friend Kristen.
Tyson went to get a haircut from our friend Sydni so we asked her to cut Easton's because his hair was getting really uneven and long. His first haircut is sure cute, but I miss his curls!

Last, but not least was Kelsey's wedding. She didn't pick the best day to get married but everying worked out. First of all, my cute husband went to school that morning and left from there to meet us at the temple... unfortunately he went to the Salt Lake Temple instead of the Draper Temple. So we had to delay the ceremony for a half hour (by the way he had both of our recommends=) When we walked out of the temple it started pouring rain. Which then turned into hail. Who knew you'd have to worry about that in June. It was kind of just one thing after another, but everything worked out and the reception was beautiful! I'll put on more pictures when we get the professional ones back.

Way to go Kate!

Today was my sister Katelin's graduation from Alta High School. She will be going to byu in the fall which she is very excited for. She is very different than me so I think she'll love it there. She is the kind of person who wants to be involved in everything! She's bursting with school spirit. She has accomplished so much in her high school years and we're so excited for her!

the beginning of a busy summer!

This summer is such a busy one and I can't believe it's already started! On Thursday we went to Tyson's brother Hayden's graduation from Payson High School. He also graduated from seminary and will be receiving his eagle scout award soon. We are so proud of him for being such a good kid! (And we think he's pretty cute too!)

Arlene's friend Jill Burton took these pictures and since Easton was there she snapped some of him too. He wasn't in the happiest mood, but he's still cute!
Saturday morning at 1 AM we took off for Lake Powell. It was so beautiful and we had so much fun with Tyson's family. We wish we could have stayed longer, but Tyson had to get back so school so we left Sunday night at 10. We are happy to be home safe and sound and sunburned.

Stay tuned for more busy-ness including Kate's graduation, Collette's baptism, and Kelsey's wedding!
