We had a fun Mother's Day weekend this year. Mostly I was just really glad to have a break from Tyson's studying! He took a year end final on Friday. The average score from both the South Jordan and Henderson campuses was 85% and he got 93%. I think he's pretty smart.
Saturday morning we went up to my mom's to surprise her with some yard work for Mother's Day.
We got the garden ready for planting.
Tyson and Katelin pulled out the peach tree stump.
We cleaned off the patio furniture and had a picnic.
Kelsey and Katelin took out some anger on the stump for no apparent reason. They used a hatchet and then a saw and then back to a hatchet and eventually got it to break.
The kids got in a water fight and all the clothes came off. I've always been jealous of my parents' super green grass.
Saturday night we went back to my parents' house since my dad was finally home from scout camp and had a hot dog bbq.
Sunday I got to sleep in for a while and we got ready for church. I had our lesson for sunbeams all planned out and then we got to church and I remembered all the women were going to relief society 3rd hour! So Tyson did a great job winging it with another dad helper. It was nice to have a break from teaching but I still ended up walking the halls with Callan. 2 months till nursery!
We headed down to Payson after church for more barbequing!
Callan and Crew zipped around on the 4-wheeler for quite a while.
They shared a juice box.
And rode around together.
They are such good buddies.
Here's Tyson and his mamma.
On the way home Easton kept asking, "Mom! Do I look like a lizard?"
It didn't take long for me to realize he was remembering this Baby Einstein book I used to read him...
Silly boy. I couldn't be happier to be a mother my two boys! Life is crazy, but so much fun!
Happy Mother's Day to both of our moms. We're so lucky to have you!
