Camping

The first camping trip of 2012 was a big success.  We left for an overnighter at Tanner's Flat on Friday afternoon.  Easton threw up four times and we had to pack up our puke-filled tent and leave in the middle of the night.  But it was fun while it lasted...

We read books.

Easton picked his nose to avoid being in pictures.

Kelsey brought crafts.

We played Funny Bone

Had s'mores and yummy peach cobbler after the dutch oven roast and potatoes.

This was Callan's first camping trip!  He loved it.

Thanks for the fun trip mom and dad!  Wish we could have stayed longer.

And a big sorry to mom, Cassidy, and Kelsey who are all home puking.

Sealed

Easton requested "I Love to See the Temple" for a bedtime song tonight.  It was a welcome change from "Armies of Helamen" every other night.  After the song he asked what it means to be sealed.  I explained to him that when you get married in the temple, you get a special blessing that after you die you will still be a family.  My sweet baby boy started crying and told me he would miss me when I die.  He just about broke my heart!  I assured him it would be a long time and changed the subject.  But I still can't get over it.  Love him.

Cal & Crew

We're so glad Grama Page loves to take the boys for pictures all the time!  I think Callan and Crew are the cutest little cousins!  I can't believe they are almost 17 months old!

Thanks Grama!

Happy Mothers Day 2012

We had a fun Mother's Day weekend this year.  Mostly I was just really glad to have a break from Tyson's studying!  He took a year end final on Friday.  The average score from both the South Jordan and Henderson campuses was 85% and he got 93%.  I think he's pretty smart.

Saturday morning we went up to my mom's to surprise her with some yard work for Mother's Day.

We got the garden ready for planting.

Tyson and Katelin pulled out the peach tree stump.

We cleaned off the patio furniture and had a picnic.

Kelsey and Katelin took out some anger on the stump for no apparent reason.  They used a hatchet and then a saw and then back to a hatchet and eventually got it to break.

The kids got in a water fight and all the clothes came off.  I've always been jealous of my parents' super green grass.

Saturday night we went back to my parents' house since my dad was finally home from scout camp and had a hot dog bbq.

Sunday I got to sleep in for a while and we got ready for church.  I had our lesson for sunbeams all planned out and then we got to church and I remembered all the women were going to relief society 3rd hour!  So Tyson did a great job winging it with another dad helper.  It was nice to have a break from teaching but I still ended up walking the halls with Callan.  2 months till nursery!

We headed down to Payson after church for more barbequing!

Callan and Crew zipped around on the 4-wheeler for quite a while.

They shared a juice box.

And rode around together.

They are such good buddies.

Here's Tyson and his mamma.

On the way home Easton kept asking, "Mom!  Do I look like a lizard?"

It didn't take long for me to realize he was remembering this Baby Einstein book I used to read him...

Silly boy.  I couldn't be happier to be a mother my two boys!  Life is crazy, but so much fun!

Happy Mother's Day to both of our moms.  We're so lucky to have you!

Birthday Celebrations

Happy Birthday to me.
We celebrated my birthday one Sunday at my parents' house.  I got some very much needed exercise clothes and  a really cute dress.  Katelin got me a picture of Trace since I think he's so cute.  We had yummy angel food cake and strawberries.

On my actual birthday my ward friends and I got together and went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch.  The kids played in the play place until someone (not of our party) peed and the place had to be evacuated.  So we moved to the park and had a great time.

Colette took a picture of all of us (minus Marissa who went home with her sleepy boy:)
She did a great job considering she's only 5!

Then Lindsey helped out

I was spoiled with lots of chocolate!  Bakery cookies and a cupcake, and my good friends at work got me a box of Hostess Cupcakes.  They know me well!

I got a double stroller and I LOVE it.  I don't know how or why I went without it for so long.

Tyson got me roses and some Hallmark chocolate bars.  I'm telling you, the ones who really love me got me chocolate:)

We went to my parents' to watch the Jazz game.  I went to Home Depot to get some supplies for a never ending project (more on that later) and Easton made me a cake while I was gone.  I requested a cake made with Greek yogurt and the texture was NOT good.  I finally met a chocolate cake I could turn down.  But it looked great!

On Tuesday we went to Benihana for more birthday celebrations with our friends, the Squires.  It is Mitch's birthday soon so we had a double dinner party.  We had a lot of fun and the food was great.  The only part that was not so great was dealing with Callan!  He is never ever naughty, but that night he was crazy!  Then we got the pictures back and he was holding his ear in both of them.  He has had fevers and has been so whiney, but apparently he doesn't have an ear infection this time.  Whatever.
