Swingin

The other day Tyson's parents asked me if Easton liked his swing. I hadn't tried it since he was new and he didn't like it much then. So I decided to give it another try yesterday. I put him in there while I mopped the floor and for the first five or ten minutes he just sat there with a scowl on his face like, "excuse me, you know I prefer to be held."
Then he warmed up and started to enjoy it.
And less than a minute after that...he was out for an hour.

Ahhh we love the swing.

Nina's Getting Married!

Today I went to my good friend Nina's bridal shower. (She is in the middle) We were on drill team together and she got baptized about a year after we graduated. Now she is getting married in the temple to a dentist and moving to Oklahoma! I'm so happy for her! It's so weird I feel like we are all just playing grown ups.

Mangia!

Last night we got to have a little date night (Easton got to come of course.) I got two new pairs of jeans which I REALLY needed because I haven't really bought anything since I had the baby. So that was exciting and then we went to La Dolce Vita, an Italian hole in the wall type of restaurant in Provo. The owner is this older Italian woman who came over and spoke everything to us in Italian. It was fun for Tyson to have a little refresher. She thought Easton was so cute. When we got our food he started to get fussy and she came over and took him right out of my arms and carried him around with her until we finished eating. She was so cute.

Go Cougs!

Easton went to his first BYU basketball game Tuesday night with my dad! (we went too of course) My dad said he's been dreaming of this moment his whole life. Easton really loved it for the first half...then he got a little stir crazy. These pictures were taken with my phone so they're not the best. I'm still learning about all the features (like the flash).

Something's Fishy...

For some reason Tyson got a sudden craving for calamari. So he headed to Walmart and bought some. Sick. I don't get it at all.

Speaking of fish, Tyson, Hayden, and Steve went to Fish Lake on Sunday to ice fish. The wind had blown all the snow off of the lake so the ice was completely clear. They took some pretty cool pictures. You can see more of them on Tyson's blog FISHONUTAH. It is linked to mine and it could use some readers;)

Tyson's 24!

This is going to be a little bit of an overload since we've had a pretty exciting weekend. Tyson turned 24 on Monday. He got some ties and a book from my family...

...and also a trophy from my sister Kelsey. She has this thing going on right now where since she's a poor college student, she just wraps up one of her old dance trophies for everyone's birthday (or Christmas) present. She's kinda funny. For his birthday we went to get massages which was very relaxing and then to Asuka's, a Japanese Tepanyaki style restaurant, for dinner. It was a lot of fun!

Shots are NOT fun!

After being so good on Sunday, we had to wake Easton up Monday morning and take him to get his shots. They were terrible! They might be worse for the parents than the baby. I tried to put warm rags on his legs but I don't think it helped. He's fine now.

Easton's Blessing

Easton was blessed on Sunday. Tyson did a great job and it was a really fun day! Easton looked so cute in his outfit and I don't think he cried once all day.

Happy New Years!

For new years we had Ben and Brooke, Casey and Kristi, and Dan and Savannah over to play games. Dan and Savannah brought a game called Curses where you had certain challenge cards that you had to complete (such as beating up invisible bad guys) and then other people gave you curse cards which made it difficult to complete your challenge. Tyson's curses included having short arms so his wrists had to touch his chest at all times, no fingers so his hands had to be fisted, and he had to pretend to say everything through a cb radio with a french accent.

After that we played Partini which was really fun. The games got a little loud so we put Easton in our bedroom since it was further away. He and his chins took over our bed and loved it.
