Finally Caught Up!

Phew I will never get 5 posts behind again!  Here's the last few randoms to get all caught up!

After a particularly rough day of mothering, Easton came down the stairs with something behind his back.  I sternly asked him what he was sneaking and he pulled out this card.  He said, "Thank you for all you do for me mom.  It's a thank you note with me, you, and a heart in the middle."  I may have cried just a little.  These are the things that make life worth living!
Katelin and Trace went on a cruise!  I don't know what they were thinking, but they brought back these wooden instruments for the kids!  They are the most annoying things ever, but they love them!
It was conference weekend!  I loved it as usual, but it does take a little bit of the fun out of it now that I have to sit and wonder what talks I will be teaching in Relief Society for the next 6 months! (Please don't be Elder Bednar's, please:)  Tyson had to work all day Saturday, but he was able to go to Priesthood that night with Hayden and Brady.  The boys had a rough day that day, especially Callan who only had a 5 minute nap in the car.  He was put to bed at 6:30 and Easton and I made brownies for the boys.  Easton insisted on wearing Callan's angry bird jammers and I was too tired to fight.
Sunday Tyson had to study all day for a rough reassessment Monday.  We tried to keep the boys occupied so we could listen and he could study.  To my surprise, they spent tons of time playing with the food storage that was waiting to be taken downstairs.  They built towers for a good 30 minutes!

I have been working on cleaning out the basement so the boys can play down there over the summer.  We got some of my parents' old carpet to put down there and moved all the toys down.  Tyson slashed his leg open while cutting the carpet and we had to do some serious surgery involving several layers of glue and the blow dryer.  It was pretty deep!

That's all.  I feel so much better now.  All caught up. :)

Easter Sunday

The Easter bunny must have been tired because he left Easton's basket where he couldn't really find it.  He went downstairs and watched TV like any other morning before realizing he had a basket to find!  When he finally remembered he came running up the stairs to wake up mom and dad.  Callan was still asleep so I let Easton go through his basket himself.
He was so excited about the Silly Putty and kept calling it Funny Putty.
He played with his stuff for a while and then couldn't take it any longer.  He just had to know what Callan got in his basket.  Callan was not thrilled to be woken up!
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse bubbles!  Does life get any better than that? (He looks just like me and it's freaky!)

I shopped and shopped for Easter outfits for the boys but never found anything I loved.  Luckily on Easter morning I realized their bowties from Aunt Kate's wedding would be perfect!
After church we got to go see Eric and Shaunna's new house.  It was beautiful and so nice of them to have us all over!  Easton and Ryan of course went straight to Ryan's room and got in their super hero gear.
We ate yummy ham and potatoes and then had an egg hunt.

I had to intervene with Callan because he picked up every egg, opened it, ate some candy, and then I took it away.  Every egg.
He thought he was gonna get away with this one. :)
It was a great Easter!

Easter Weekend

As soon as Tyson could leave school Friday we headed to Idaho for Easter weekend.  The boys love playing with their Idaho cousins and love all of Grandma Allen's toys!  There were several fights over the car and toolbox and I remember fighting over those same toys as a kid.
Saturday we colored eggs.  Callan was so excited!  Although he didn't last long because he kept plopping the eggs in different colors to make them splash.

The older girls got all kinds of creative with their eggs.
I will smile, but I will not take my eyes off that egg!
Cassidy had some awesome marker creations.
After they all dried we had an egg hunt at Austin & Kim's house.

Callan was asleep while the eggs dried so he missed lunch.  When he finally got to sit down with his eggs he started peeling them as fast as he could! He was starving and wanted to eat them so bad!  I had to run and find him something else to eat to keep him from destroying all the eggs!

Feeding Scout

We even got to have a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt!  The kids loved the glow sticks inside the eggs!
We headed home to Utah Saturday night after our chicken noodle soup.  We stopped at a gas station in Malta that happened to have the ugliest alpacas ever.  The kids thought it was pretty fun to feed them, but I didn't take any pictures!
