Christmas 2012

We had a great Christmas this year!

Tyson went out duck hunting on Christmas Eve morning.  The boys and I cleaned the house to get it all ready for Santa.
When Tyson got home he had a message from work.  We thought he worked 6-10 PM on Christmas Eve but it turned out he was supposed to work 8-5.  Oops.  He hurried over to the hospital and worked all day.  We all met up at my parents for dinner and the annual Christmas Eve nativity.

The weather was terrible on Christmas Eve so we were happy to be home safely!  And glad to have a white Christmas.
Easton and I woke up around 5 on Christmas morning.  We were so excited!  We finally woke Callan up around 7 and brought him in to our bed.  Everybody snuggled for a tiny second while I brushed my teeth and it was the cutest thing ever!
Christmas morning was so great.  Last year we went WAY overboard so we tried to scale things back and were worried about the boys being disappointed, but they were so happy!  I'll never forget how grateful Easton was.  He even thanked us every time he opened up a t-shirt.

Callan was all about the chocolate.  Unwrapped those suckers faster than I could catch him!
Callan got a kitchen from Santa with velcro cutting food.  He loves it!
Easton got a scooter and a marshmallow shooting bow.
I think Tyson likes the marshmallow bow more than anyone.  We all had the welts to show for it!
Easton gave Callan a big tractor and Callan gave Easton a Batman book.

Santa brought mom some clothes and dad a case for his shotgun that he had already bought himself.

We got ready and headed to Payson to be spoiled some more!  Grandma and Grandpa Page got the boys a dual screen DVD player for the Jeep which turned out to be a lifesaver in the days to come!  We got a Blendtec which I am soooo excited about and a Shelf Reliance can rotating shelf thing.  I'm so excited to set it up tomorrow!
They even took care of Max.  He got a camo jacket to wear hunting.
We went to Old Grama and Grampa's for lunch. They had some fun presents for the kids and these wooden puzzle boxes for the adults.  It was pretty funny watching everyone compete to open the box first!

When we went back to Steve & Arlene's Easton got a special surprise!

Catching Up

Things get so busy at this time of year!  I thought I should catch up before the big day!  Here are the things we've done in the last 2 weeks!

With all this sickness crap going around, I thought this would be a good year for me to get my first flu shot!  Luckily for me there was a good looking intern working at Walgreens that day!

Easton did his best to get a good picture!  Now we just need to teach him to count to 3 before the snap!
I feel like I worked a lot in the first half of December!  Good thing I have a bunch of good babysitters!

We had our annual Page white elephant party.  I snuck this picture of Thomas so he made sure to embarrass me too!

They went ahead and took the picture from a "fat angle" to match the huge shirt!
We had a lot of fun and yummy food as usual!  The kids had a blast playing with their cousins!  And we came home with some fun presents.  I ended up with a marshmallow shooting bow that I was going to get Easton for Christmas!  So I hid it for him and I'm so excited!

Our ward breakfast with Santa was yesterday.  It was determined that this Santa was the real deal since all his hair was white.

The boys got to decorate a gingerbread house.
Today was our last day teaching our sunbeams!  I'll be sad to see them move on to the next class!
Easton was the donkey in his flying squirrel costume so he decided he was a flying donkey.  Audrey and Colby were Mary and Joseph and held the baby Jesus so sweetly!  Trevor was an awesome shepherd and Zach did a great job as the angel!  The angel has a lot of lines!  Harrison loved carrying the gifts as the wise man even though he didn't care for the picture idea!

Tonight we had a surprise party for Aunt Amanda.  Her birthday is on Christmas so we decided to give her a little extra attention this year!  She was so surprised she cried!  I think that might have had to do with the pregnancy hormones:)  It worked out nicely because Easton loves playing with Amanda's nephew!  It was a fun party!

We've had a busy and fun December and can't wait for Christmas!

Hey, Santa!

We got to go see Santa last weekend at my dad's work!  The kids may or may not have had more fun golfing in grandpa's office while they waited for their turn:)  He does have a pretty cool office!

Easton was excited to sit on Santa's lap.  His list grows every time he goes into a store.  It currently includes "a batmobile that batman can ride in, a bow and arrow from Scheels, and sea creatures."
Callan was apprehensive until Santa gave him a ball.  Then he was all over the idea!  Callan is asking for toys for Christmas.  Easton suggested that Santa should bring Callan a piggy bank so he will stop playing with Easton's.
 Easton and Mrs. Clause

We were so glad we could visit Santa!  Easton, however, is convinced that he was "a fake because he the real Santa didn't have brown hair under his hat when he growed up."  Oh brother.
