July Part 2

The boys went fishing with dad and Easton caught a fish.  I actually have no recollection of this, but they appear to be at Utah Lake.

Kelsey invited us to go on a group date.  It was supposed to be a surprise but we all had it figured out by the time the day came!  We went downtown SLC to "slide the city."
There was a giant water slide going down the road.  It was a lot of fun!  The pregger ladies got to stay on the sidelines and take embarrassing videos of all of us!  The boys lathered up in dish soap and some kids donated them their blow up rafts that had holes in them.  Tyson went right after me and spent most of the time chasing after my flip flops!  Someone said you had to wear shoes.  I don't know.  I'm a rule follower.  Afterward we went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings.  It was a great time!
On Pioneer Day I took the boys to one last Lehi Foam Day before the move!  It was HOT!!!

Taking a break for snuggle time during the chaotic move.
We were grateful for all the help we received moving!  It was a busy time for everyone, but people made time to help us and we felt so blessed!  Hayden helped load the moving truck as long as he could until he had to go to the dentist.  Then Arlene and I loaded the rest of the truck ourselves!  We were a hot sweaty mess when we were done!!
We ended up needing three trucks (oops)!  How in the world did we get so much stuff?!  Kelsey watched the boys while we loaded.  My mom and the rest of the sisters were all at girls camp.  Amanda and Thomas AND Hayden and Crystal were all moving within 2 weeks.  Steve and my dad came to help Tyson drive the trucks and unload.  When we showed up to our new house, a neighbor showed up with two missionaries who called two more missionaries and several other ward members to help us unload the trucks.  We also had Tyson's cousin Josh there.  They'll probably never know how much this meant to us!  We felt incredibly blessed!  Some ladies from the ward sat on a blanket on the lawn playing with Fin - a giant blessing since I was feeling so picked on having my mom and sisters at camp!  We got everything moved in very quickly and got to meet so many neighbors that first night!  We love our new home!

July

I've been wanting to go to the Peppermint Place ever since we moved here.  My mom used to take us when we were kids and I remember it being the highlight of the summer!  It turned out to be not nearly as cool as I remembered!  But we still had a good time and were glad the Langstons could come with us!
On July 3rd we went to the hot air balloon festival in Provo.  It ended up being a little too windy for the balloons to take off.  Luckily a few did and the boys still enjoyed watching the others inflate.  They really wouldn't care what we were doing as long as we were with aunties!

 Callan and Grampa Cook!
On the Fourth of July we went to Cowabunga Bay with the Cook dam.  Katelin was able to get us in for free since she used to work there.  It was so fun!

Tyson studied for the NAPLEX the entire time.  Afterward we went to the Cooks' for a BBQ.
We went home and did fireworks in our front yard with neighbors.  Callan watched through the mesh on this chair the whole time.  He kept saying, "I like the fire, but not the works!"
Fin holding his bottle with his feet.
On July 9th Easton graduated from the Upstart Program.  He worked so hard all year on his online preschool and learned so much!
My neighbor called to let me know my kids were chasing each other with Sharpies.  This was the day before family pictures!  Perfect!  Luckily it all came off with rubbing alcohol.
We had our family pictures done at Fotofly in Draper.  We've been so busy and the timing was just not ideal, but I couldn't let another day go by without pictures of these kids!  They're growing way too fast!

Last weekend we went on a last minute getaway to Strawberry Reservoir with the Page family.  It was so much fun and a much needed break!  We went boating, fished, and stayed at the lodge.  It doesn't get anymore beautiful!

Easton was a little fish and was swimming laps around the boat every time it stopped.  He was begging everyone to get in and swim with him and finally Tyson said he would swim with him if Easton would wake board.  We were all shocked when Easton willingly agreed!  He got really nervous as soon as the board got in the water, but he did great and ended up loving it!
I guess I'll include a picture of Thomas's fish here, because if I didn't no one would ever believe him!

We turned right around from that vacation and went to Idaho to visit Grama Allen and cousins.  Easton has been begging to see his Idaho cousins so when my mom said she had to go up for a quick overnighter I couldn't resist.  He loves these cousins!

The Allens got a pool in their backyard and the kids had a blast in it!

Maycee does alpaca training for 4H.  They are the strangest creatures!  It was so cute watching her lead her alpaca through the obstacle course.
 Vonnie and Maycee

It was a long ride home, but we made it!  I switched the carseats around so the boys could watch a movie on my computer.  Usually Fin sits in the middle so Easton can help him, but this way he had to sit on the end with Callan in the middle.  Callan was supposed to keep feeding him his treats, but he decided to just give him the whole jar so he "wouldn't have to hear Fin whining all the time."  Typical Callan!  So by the time we got home Fin was covered in ranch crunchies from head to toe and was not happy!

There.  Now I'm caught up!

June

In June we enjoyed a few trips to the Highland Splash Park.  Finley liked it until I put his feet in!
Easton lost his first tooth on June 4th.  Dad pulled it out without coming to get me or getting the video camera or anything!  Grr!

He pulled the tooth out right as we were about to leave to go to Tyson's graduation banquet at La Caille.  I splurged an bought some clip in hair extensions because I was hating my short hair.  I really liked them but I haven't worn them since!  Who has time for that?

Dinner was kind of a  joke.  We pre-ordered and our choices were squash ravioli with mushrooms or Mary's free range chicken.  Tyson ordered one of each for us.  When the waitress came out she asked if everyone was getting the chicken or if we had any vegetarians.  Tyson said he had ordered the ravioli and she acted SO WEIRD about it.  When they brought out the food we knew why! Tyson's whole dinner was three squash raviolis sprinkled with corn!  And no mushrooms to be found which was why he ordered it in the first place!  Don't worry I let him have some of my free range chicken.
Easton came in at 2 AM the next morning to tell us the tooth fairy had come.  He must have been waking up to check all night!

On June 7th Tyson graduated with his doctorate degree!  Woohoo! Graduation was held at the Capitol Theater.  It was a really good program.  Just short enough for the kids to handle.  Afterward we went to Grampa Cook's office for a Cafe Rio style luncheon.  Everything was yummy and we were so glad our families could celebrate with us!

Father's Day!  We're all lucky to have this guy who works so hard for our family!
Our strawberry plants went crazy this year!  Last year we transplanted them from my mom's garden and we got 1 strawberry all summer.  This year we got tons!
We took a trip to the zoo with the Behles and Andersons.

They loved the splash pad at the zoo and didn't want to leave!
When dad comes home the boys beg to either wrestle or play Sega.
Scheels
Aunt Collette got the cutest bunny for her birthday!  The boys love playing with Molly!
Also in June the freezer door got left open in the garage.  Everything thawed!  I had several packages of Rhodes rolls that were risen!  I hurried and made scones and had Navajo tacos for dinner and I tried to make bread out of all the rest, but it didn't work out!  I made 4 loaves and they all were pure dough in the center.  Everything had to be thrown away. :(

Easton and Finley are sure looking alike!
The boys LOVE legos!  They play all day long and I'm glad Fin likes to play with them!

I cut all 4 boys hair and it was so gross!  So much dang hair!  I think I'd rather pay than clean all that up again!

We went to 7 Peaks with cousins!
These boys sure love each other!
 Grama got snow cones!
Fin learned to give us some awesome open mouth kisses!
He loves his bouncer so much he bounced himself to sleep!
We took the boys on dates to have some alone time with each of them.  Finley went to Grama's, Easton and I went to see "How to Train Your Dragon 2" and Callan and Dad went fishing.  It was so fun!  We can't wait to do it again!
