Labor Day Weekend

I wasn't a very good picture-taker over the weekend, but we did have a lot of fun! My mom got some good pictures I'll have to watch her blog and steal some. My family all came down Friday to go to the Payson Onion Days baby contest. We were shocked that Easton didn't win. (Then when I went to pick up his picture on Tuesday the photographer couldn't find it. Call me a sore loser, but I'm pretty sure the judges never got to see it. He's printing me another one so hopefully I can put it on tomorrow.) That night we went to the fireworks. On Saturday my family came back down (minus my dad who was in Texas at the BYU game) and we walked through the boothes at the park, went swimming, and watched the BYU game at Steve and Arlene's.We spent Sunday with Tyson's family. This picture doesn't have anything to do with labor day weekend, but it's cute. Easton loves to brush his teeth.
Easton eating apples at Tyson's grandparent's house.
Easton learning to "be soft" with his cousin Ryan
Sunday night Tyson and I went catfishing around 9 with Seth and his girlfriend Rachel. We were on the lake in Seth's boat getting eaten alive by mosquitos until 3 in the morning and didn't catch a thing. Monday morning we got up and went boating with my family back out to the lake. It was really windy but we had fun.
That's all the pictures I took over the weekend so I'll put more on when I get them from my mom. This morning Tyson left his fishing poles in Easton's reach. He loves the fishing poles!

Weekends

I don't know where the time goes. I'm not being a very good blogger. The last couple weeks have kind of been a blur! So I'll have to start catching up from 2 weekends ago. After the temple dedication we were planning on going camping, but it was looking a little rainy so we had decided not to go. We had borrowed a baby backpack from my friend Debbie so we still wanted go and hike to the grotto. Easton LOVED the backpack. I'm considering wearing it all day just to keep him entertained. He thought he was on top of the world. This is kind of a funny picture from Tyson's phone. Of course I forgot my camera.

While we were hiking to the grotto, the weather was beautiful so we decided the camping trip was back on. We went home and got our things together and got up to Bear Trap at the top of Payson Canyon around 7:00 Sunday night. When we got there there was a huge wind storm that lasted all night. We decided we would stick it out in the tent. However, Easton wasn't having it. (We later found out that he was cutting his 8th tooth). So we were so glad for 9:00 to roll around so we could give him his bottle and put him to bed. We searched for the bottle for a half hour. No luck. We decided it had fallen out of the car at Walmart. We had no choice but to pack everything back up and head home. It was a nightmare.

We both started school last week and are doing well so far.

Then this past weekend I made 100 sugar cookies on Friday for my cousin Makenzie's baby shower. (Next time I'll let you buy them, mom). Then on Saturday, Easton, me, my mom, and sister Cassidy, drove to Idaho 4 hours each way for the shower. Easton did so well in the car! I was really nervous but he did awesome and I'm glad we could make it for the shower!

That's about it. Time to go to school. Hopefully it won't be 2 weeks before I post again. That was way too long.

Goin to the zoo, the zoo, the zoo

How about you, you, you? I think I'm going to be singing that song all week. We stayed up at my parents' this weekend. Tyson took the PCAT early Saturday morning. It was a 5 hour test and we're just so glad it's finally over! He felt pretty good about it, but we won't find out for 6 weeks. Since the test was up at the U we decided to take Easton to the zoo afterwards. My sisters Kennedi and Collette came too. We probably picked the hottest day of the year to go to the zoo! The jeep said it was 106 degrees when we left! (I'm not gonna lie I was pretty much miserable the whole time.) But Easton loved the animals. It was so fun to watch him-you could tell when he focused in on an animal because he would get really excited. I only took one picture because I was just too hot to deal with getting the camera in and out. But we had fun!

We also got to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication this morning. It was really nice to go to church without the little monkey for once. I love the kid, but usually on Sundays I'm sitting there wondering why do I even try? Thanks to Grandma Arlene for watching him!
