Callan's Birthday!

Callan turned three!  He got a special birthday muffin in the morning.  He's not a huge fan of breads (gets that from his dad) so he let me eat the muffin.  In hind sight I should have loaded it with frosting.  He eats the frosting off of every dessert and is done with it.

Grama Cook and Aunties brought him some balloons and he got his present from mom and dad - his balance bike!  These bikes are so popular right now.  They don't have any pedals so the kids just use their legs to get them going and then balance.  Now (6 months later) Callan can pretty much coast down the whole street without touching the ground.  He's ready for a real 2-wheeler!

We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and Callan got to sit on the saddle.
Callan loves tractors especially excavators!  We had an excavator cake and opened presents at the Cook's house.  When we told Cal it said, "Dig In," he took the excavator and started digging into the cake!
He loved all of his presents!  Thanks everyone!

We had a joint party for Callan and Crew with the Page family at Jungle Jims!  The boys had so much fun!  We had treats, opened presents, and played all night!

The Rest of January

Fin started playing with toys.  He only likes to play for a few minutes at a time.  This boy likes to be held!
Rub a dub dub, three boys in the tub!  These boys love bath time!
We loved getting this outfit from Cami in the mail all the way from Texas!  Fin loved it too, he was just being dramatic.
And we loved this sly little fox outfit from Amberlie!  Look at that hair over his ears.

Tyson got a lathe and a little carving dremel to make duck calls.  He spent a lot of time doing this all spring!!

The tiny drill also came in handy when he got stepped on at basketball.  The pressure under his toenail got so bad he had to drill through it to get the blood out... Gag!  It still looks pretty bad even now...

Blessed

Finley was blessed on January 19, 2014.  We had planned to have him blessed at church, but had some scheduling conflicts.  It turned out that day was ward conference so we couldn't do the blessing at church, but that was the only day we could do it because of Grama Page's calling, Grama and Grampa Cook going to Hawaii, and Cassidy being in town.  So we had Brother Ellis from the Bishopric come over and join us for the blessing at home.  It was a beautiful blessing and a beautiful day!  Among many things, Fin was blessed to remember the way his life began and the fight and determination he had already developed at that point in his little life.  He was blessed to use that determination throughout his life in the different challenges he might face.

We are so blessed to have wonderful families who came to support him.

Easton learned to "photo bomb" that day...

Trace was there too!  He had to leave early for Young Mens.
