Fathers Day

We celebrated Fathers Day with the Page family on Friday night with a yummy BBQ.  I obviously flaked out on pictures!

Tyson had to work on Fathers day.  Church was a little rough.  The boys were out of control so we only stayed long enough for them to sing and then went back to teach primary.  Callan threw a major fit when Easton got to go sing and he didn't so I let him go up on stage.  He sang loud and proud!  The boys sang to Dad when he got home from work so he didn't miss out.

We celebrated Fathers Day at the Cook's.  Grandpa got tickets to Barry Manilow and the book, "How to Babysit a Grandpa."

We are so grateful for the dads in our life!

Fly Fishing

Tyson has taken up fly fishing this summer.  We took an evening trip up to Tibble Fork Reservoir to get away.  The boys love it there, and I don't mind it either.  The scenery is beautiful and I love that the shore is so shallow I don't have to worry too much.

 They spent the entire two hours building a beaver dam.

Karate

Easton took a 4 week karate course in June at Bobby Lawrence Karate.  He did a great job!  He was very excited to improve his ninja skills.  He learned a new skill every class: respect, confidence, self-control, team work, focus, and my personal favorite - stranger danger.  In that class they learned to yell, "STOP! YOU'RE NOT MY DAD! STRANGER STRANGER!"

East and Cal can do that one really well.  However, Easton is no longer afraid of strangers which I'm not sure is a good thing...

He loved it when people came to watch him!  He told me he especially loved it when Grama Cook came because she kept on doing thumbs up at him.

He graduated with his yellow stripe belt.  Cutest little ninja I've ever seen.

In an unrelated note, So You Think You Can Dance has started again.  The boys love to watch it with me.  It has turned into a Tuesday night tradition!
