Catching Up Again: Christmas Tree & Thanksgiving

Last Sunday our friends Kristen and Weston invited us to go cut down Christmas trees on Weston's family's property. We had so much fun and Easton loved it! He found a stick and just kept dipping it into the snow and licking it off.

Easton got carried most of the time. It was some treacherous terrain! We were glad we left Callan with Grandma Page!
We both found such cute trees!

Turns out the trees are a lot taller than they look in the wild! We had to cut quite a bit off, but we finally got it together!
Also this week, in preparation for the Christmas tree, I took down this brown book case...
And turned it into some white shelves.

It's not really done yet, I have some other ideas. But it's good for now.

Thursday we drove to Oakley, ID for Thanksgiving. It was great to see the family on my mom's side. Since my great grandma passed away a few months ago, the great aunts wanted all of us younger girls to do a fashion show with all of great grandma's old clothes. We were really surprised at how fashionable she was! My sisters desperately wanted to keep some of the clothes to actually wear. I didn't get any pictures, but I'll get them from someone and post them for memory's sake.

As usual we had a talent show and Easton did a great job showing off some of his gymnastics moves including his forward roll.

And I'm sure you could have guessed Callan LOVED Thanksgiving. The kid loves to eat! He was so good for the whole trip. Here he is eating some pie with Aunt Kate and loving every minute of it.
Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Love your Christmas tree. Real ones look so much better than the fake ones! That fashion show sounds like fun. Easton's gymnastics crack me up, can't wait to see them in person in a few weeks!
